The one problem I have with that is that National Treasure 1 already did the Templar thing. And so in theory... the holy grail would have been with their vast treasure. There's some who think they found the holy grail and others who think it was a treasure of wealth/knowledge.

So. Plus. There's not enough clues to really follow this in a full length movie.

I'm still holding to Fountain of Youth until I'm proven wrong. And I don't see an issue with pirates going after it also.

The fountain of youth is a good thought but... what about the Henry Sinclair, viking, templar mystery here in the USA. There is a stone that was found in Minnesota which supposedly dates back to 1362, which is when the Vikings were exploring the North American continent. The runes on the stone are similar to the ones used by the founders of the Knights Templar. They think the Holy Grail might be here in the US. Far fetched yes, but anything is possible in movies

ok so i have a hypothesis of my own. i believe that you are very correct in that being it will be the fountain of youth since that still in theory has to do with american theory. On the other hand disney is still also thinking about producing another pirates of the carribean last time i checked into it. so this comes to my hypothesis. i think if they dont produce a 4th pirates, they will develop a plot circled around the fountain of youth because disney wont make both. so they through that line in at the end so they could leave it open to that. but they are also thinking about going "international" in persuing the lost city of atlantis. but there is no for sure plot as of today. but the release date of the new nt3 is in 2011

I dont think its going to be the fountain of youth. I feel this way because another Disney movie called Pirates of the Caribbean is doing there fourth installment on the fountain. So it would be very unwise for Disney to do two fountain movies that come out the same year.

It can't be the Fountain of Youth for the simple reason that Pirates of the Caribbean 4 (also from Disney) is suppose to have that theme. Pirates theme is given away in the end of the third Pirates movie.
Also the supposed '51' in the picture from the presidents book is actually the picture number from the phone. It stands out to much from the other writing to be anything else. Sorry to burst your bubble but how about Braddock's Treasure? It's not quite as well known so it would make a better story to the general audience.

I watched it with my family and we went back and paused it when he took the pic of the page. On the screen of the phone, it had a number on it. 51. Coincedence? Doubtfully, but you never know. It's up to the writers.

It can't be the lost treasure of Solomon because that's what they found in the first one (along with all the other world's treasures)

Atlantis is possible, but as far as I know, it's a Greek/Roman thing and has no common history with the US.
(Solomon's treasure does because of the Knights Templar/Freemasons)

You can't "find" the Bermuda Triangle. We already know where it is...you could discover what makes it so dangerous (though scientists believe it might be methane pockets that get released)

Yes My Hubby and I agree with you on The Fountan of Youth. We just finished watching NTII and TFOY was the our first thought. I would love to see one of the lead characters fall into or mistakenly drink drink from the fountain and become young. Maybe the fathe(?) We of course will have to wait and see. What else could "life altering" be?
